Shervin’s Background
Shervin Boloorian is Founder of Sound Healing Bali and a graduate of Tama-Do (Way of the Soul) sound and color therapist. Shervin is also the Founder of Bali Sound Healers Collective, the world’s first community of sound healers and an award winning music artist. Currently based in Ubud, Shervin earned his professional credentials from Fabien Maman’s Tama-Do “Way of the Soul” Academy (started in 1988), He holds a Masters Degree, is trained in urban shamanism by Robin Rice, and is a passionate lifelong vocalist, songwriter and multi-instrumental musician. In 2002, Shervin published his first book on sound therapy entitled, “The Three Zones of Sound”, as a guide for those wanting to learn and practice sound therapy.

Shervin is celebrated internationally and in Bali for his group and one-on-one skills as a sound healer. He was in 2018 named one of Bali’s top 5 Healers (Honeycombers Intl). Shervin’s Sound Healing sessions were also highlighted as one of two Yoga Barn activities “not to be missed “in Ubud by Yoga Magazine International. Shervin also trains others in sound healing and has presented at Google Corporate Offices in Singapore. He has been a featured presenter at BaliSpirit Festival,, Byron Spirit Festival, MURFEST Malaysia, Mundekulla Music Festival, Berlin Agape Zoe Festival, Toronto’s Bumi Festival and other holistic festivals.
With almost 15 years experience and professionally trained in several sound healing techniques including Tama-Do tuning forks on acupuncture point therapy, musical spine, color healing, and acoustic sound harmonizations with musical instruments (Sound Medicine), Shervin supports each individual’s ‘inner calling’. He aims to replace tension with inspiration; to open the heart, positively engage with community and coworkers, and reintegrate with loved ones.
Where to Find Shervin?
Shervin facilitates regular live, multi-instrumental Sound Medicine journeys at the Yoga Barn in Ubud, Bali’s historic and most popular yoga studio. Individual Tama-Do sound therapy sessions are available by appointment. Shervin also offers private one-on-one and group sessions for visiting Bali guests, and presenting at retreats, Festivals, yoga teacher trainings. He has presented music at holistic centers and festivals throughout Singapore, Europe, USA, Australia, Malaysia and Indonesia..
Production & Collaborations
Shervin strongly believes in the voice as an empowering part of personal transformation and developed “the Authentic Voice” workshop. His debut mantra CD, ‘Spirit Night by Candlelight’ and his signature live sacred song recitals attract invitations to present on stage at yoga and wellness festivals in all parts of the world. His follow up Rumi-inspired release ‘One With the Beloved‘ is endorsed by best selling author and translator, Coleman Barks. Having introduced sound healing to thousands worldwide, live presentations of his work have been accompanied and supported by renowned sacred world musicians such as Toni Childs (USA), Joseph “Pepe” Danza (URU), Pejman Jahanara (IRAN), and Peia Luzzi (USA).
Shervin’s latest album, “I Hear You, Mother Earth” earned THREE Global Peace Song Awards (PSAs) music in 2020.
In addition to group and private sessions, Shervin offers Training and Immersions, Intro to Sacred Sounds (a daylong workshop), a Sufi-inspired whirling and Zikr workshop with sacred sounds, ecstatic poems and songs from Sufi masters, Spirit Night: a heartsongs and sacred sounds community event, Sound Medicine (a journey through the Elements)and a Crystal bowl/Himalayan bowl with Ethnic Instruments sound meditation.
Shervin studied Chi Gong in China, shamanic counseling in the U.S., and he maintained a blog on modern-day shamanism. Prior to his sound therapy work, he served in Washington D.C. as a pro-diplomacy, peace-security and nuclear disarmament advocate and as a coalition strategist for national and international US-Iran peace campaigns. He is author of the book, “the Three Zones of Sound” and has published numerous articles.
